A compact, direct-acting diaphragm and spring pressure reducing valve purpose-built for branch line and household plumbing applications in residential and multi-story building water distribution systems. The valve uses an enlarged diaphragm to sense downstream pressure changes and drive the flap valve accordingly, continuously adjusting the valve opening to maintain a stable, preset outlet pressure regardless of fluctuations in upstream supply pressure or downstream demand. Outlet pressure is set by adjusting spring compression — no external pilot line or control equipment is required.
The enlarged diaphragm area compared to standard direct-acting designs delivers enhanced sensitivity, tighter pressure regulation, and more stable performance across varying flow conditions. Zero leakage at shutoff. Suitable for residential branch piping, high-rise apartment building risers, and household service connections.
- Direct-acting diaphragm and spring design — self-contained, no external pilot required
- Enlarged diaphragm area for improved downstream pressure sensitivity and regulation stability
- Adjustable outlet pressure across a wide range via spring adjustment
- Zero leakage at shutoff
- Compact, lightweight copper alloy construction for easy installation in confined branch piping spaces
- Nitrile rubber O-rings, sealing rings, and fabric-reinforced diaphragm for reliable, long-service sealing
- Suitable for potable water service in residential and multi-story building plumbing systems
